BRP Card Update for UK Visa Holders

📢 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR VISA HOLDERS 📢
If you currently hold a UK Youth Mobility Visa or Ancestry Visa please read the below carefully as there are important updates regarding your BRP Card.
UK Visas and Immigration are transitioning to EVISAs. This will replace the BRP Card. All BRP Cards will expire on the 31st of December. If your Visa is valid for longer then this, you will need to transition to an EVISA.
UK Visa and Immigration have begun emailing visa holders and asking them to register for the EVISA before their BRP Card expires in December.
Not everyone has been emailed yet, but it is worth trying to register on the Evisa System now. You can create your UKVI account and follow the steps to register for an EVISA: https://www.gov.uk/get-access-evisa
If you are unable to register at this time, don’t worry! It just means that the Home Office hasn’t allowed you to create your account yet. You will be able to register later in the year (The Home Office will email you, and we will send you reminder emails as well!).
Those with British passports, or the Certficate of Entitlement to the Right of Abode will not be effected and don’t have to do anything.
