Concierge Desk team members are responsible for selling activities, cash handling and balancing, using a computerized registration program for tracking guests, providing guests with resort information and answering inquires. Candidates must be efficient, highly organized, and demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as quickly develop an in-depth knowledge of the resort and its products and facilities. Prior experience in customer service is essential.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Selling Adventure Activities and informing guests about the specific requirements for each activity
- Providing exemplary customer service and keeping up-to-date on resort information
- Liaising with activity providers to ensure excellent customer service
- Cash handling and balancing, ensuring accuracy in all facets
- Being the ‘face’ of the resort and the first point of information for guests
- Developing a comprehensive knowledge of in-house departments and products
- Handling guest complaints and guest feedback in a professional and timely manner, referring to the Concierge Manager where necessary
- Communicating effectively with all departments
- Complying with all department and company policies and procedures
- Upholding the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times
- Performing other tasks as assigned by management
- Aiding in the execution of a selection of event programs as required (including set-up, hosting and teardown)
- Appearing on occasion as a resort mascot for guest receptions, event programming and day-to-day operations.
Required qualifications/skills:
- Proven self-motivation, ability to work well, particularly in a team with minimum supervision
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent organization, time management and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficient
- Must have a high level of attention to detail
- Must be able to handle guest complaints in a professional and sensitive manner
- Work well within a diverse team environment
- Flexible availability: including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
- Ability to adapt to new tasks as required
Physical demands:
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods at operating computer station
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill duties
- Requires grasping, using tools, writing, standing, sitting, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity
- Able to work in all weather conditions on occasion
