Custodial Team Members are responsible for cleanliness, snow removal and the overall appearance of the Village Centre Mall and Village Centre.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and maintenance of the Village Centre
- Completing daily cleaning duties as per task list
- Checking all washroom facilities at regular intervals to maintain clean and fresh facilities
- Removing snow and ice as required in the Village Centre
- Shovelling entranceways to ensure guest/staff safety
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the garbage/recycling room
- Ensuring all supply cupboards are stocked with appropriate paper and cleaning supplies
- Ordering supplies and maintaining sufficient cleaning supply stocks
- Assisting in maintaining the Village Centre (e.g. changing light bulbs etc.)
- Working cooperatively as a member of the Guest Services team
- Complying with all department and company policies and procedures
- Assisting with all other tasks as assigned by management
- Upholding the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times
Required qualifications/skills:
- Proven self-motivation, ability to work well with minimum supervision
- Previous manual labor experience an asset
- Works well within a diverse team environment
- Flexible availability: including evenings, early mornings, weekends and statutory holidays
- British Columbian Driver’s License or willingness to obtain
Physical demands:
- Must be able to sit and stand for the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 kg
- Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill duties
- Requires grasping, using tools, writing, standing, sitting, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity
- Work outdoors in cold conditions
