An integral part of kitchen operations, Dishwashers are responsible for keeping all areas of the kitchen clean and orderly including utensils, dishes, tools and work stations.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Cleaning garbage cans
- Maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly condition
- Placing clean dishes, utensils and cooking equipment in storage areas
- Sorting and removing trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Sweeping and scrubbing floors
- Assisting with loading and unloading trucks delivering or collecting food and supplies
- Assisting with receiving and storing supplies
- Stocking supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars
- Transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks
