The Guest Services Support team is responsible for supporting the Guest Services department in all capacities including, but not limited to, resort cleanliness, set-up/tear down of events and promotions, building maintenance and general guest support and safety.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Following opening, closing and daily ongoing procedures and checklists
- Removing snow and ice as required
- Stocking supplies in various company-owned workspaces
- Assisting in maintaining buildings around the resort (e.g. changing light bulbs etc.)
- Checking all washroom facilities at regular intervals to maintain clean and fresh facilities
- Assisting in the setup and teardown of events
- Working cooperatively as a member of the Guest Services team
- Complying with all department and company policies and procedures
- Assisting with all other tasks as assigned by management
- Upholding the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times
- Aiding in the execution of a selection of event programs as required (including set-up, hosting and teardown)
Required qualifications/skills:
- Proven self-motivation, ability to work well with minimum supervision
- Previous manual labor experiences an asset
- Work well within a diverse team environment
- Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability: including evenings, early mornings, weekends and statutory holidays
- British Columbian Driver’s License or willingness to obtain
Physical demands:
- Must be able to sit and stand for the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 kg
- Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill duties
- Requires grasping, using tools, writing, standing, sitting, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity
- Work outdoors in cold conditions
