What you will be doing:

Boathouse Attendant (Summer Only):

  • Helping Guests in and out of canoes while providing them with rules and basic canoeing instructions
  • Assist in coordinating and facilitating Sunrise and Evening Canoe Experiences Assist in facilitating the hotel’s evening Camp Fire
  • Maintain a float and daily sales of canoes
  • Maintain a safe environment on the Canoe Dock and Lake for all Guests Ensuring canoes are in clean working order, including sanitizing procedures

Kid’s Camp Attendant:

  • Organize activities and supervise up to 10 children ages 5 and up
  • Assist in continuous marketing and promotion of all Children’s activities Assisting Conference Services and Special events with functions as needed
  • Maintain a safe and fun environment for all children participating in activities, especially off property experiences

Health/Fitness Attendant:

  • Welcome guests to the Health Club and ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experience
  • Ensure the Health Club area is clean and well maintained with adequate supplies in pool area and change rooms
  • Instruct guests in use of equipment and ensure safety regulations are adhered to in fitness/pool areas

Additional:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Fielding questions about the local area
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • To comply with all the safety regulations of assigned tasks and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program
  • Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

  • Current Canadian Boating License
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification required
  • Cash handling experience
  • Strong knowledge of canoeing and canoe rescue techniques
  • Previous experience in recreation, child care or a similar environment will be an asset Must possess outstanding guest service skills, including professional communication skills
  • Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
  • Ability to consistently stand and walk through out shift
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Capable of lifting and moving canoes (90 pounds+)
