Retail Sales Associates provide a high level of experiential customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all staff, guests, and customers of the designated retail locations at the Resort. Sales Associates are an integral part of the team, ensuring locations are stocked, clean, and properly merchandised at all times. Retail Sales Associates work closely with Key Holders and the Retail Management team, and alongside many Resort departments.
Job Functions:
Pre-season Responsibilities:
- Receiving/ Set-Up
- Assist with receiving new product orders and purchase order paperwork requirements.
- Prepare and pull the required merchandise for in-store displays.
- Organize the back stock to be standardized appropriately for the stockroom.
- Tagging/stickering of new product.
- Participating in merchandising and set up of all locations, with the direction of the store/fixture planograms
Product Knowledge Training:
- Associates will be provided a blank test on their first day. Throughout the clinic training provided, this role will be responsible to complete before mountain open.
In-Season Responsibilities:
- Maintain all merchandising/store standards, restock the retail location and complete any delegated tasks.
- Ensure the proper procedure and policies for all product transfers are taking place.
- Assist management in organizing the stockrooms.
- Sales – be a direct contact for customers, offering accurate product knowledge.
- Assist with physical inventory.
Other duties may be requested and assigned from time to time.
Experience/Requirements:
- Retail sales experience is an asset.
- Positive, outgoing, friendly attitude.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent time-management an asset.
- Prepared to work a flexible schedule (weekends, holidays, additional time during busy periods).
- Must communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
- Must be neat, alert, punctual, and dependable.
- Must maintain professional conduct when in uniform and when acting as a company representative.
Additional Considerations:
- Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
- This is primarily an indoor position, but is in a remote, alpine environment and employees must wear appropriate footwear and layers for the conditions. Some uniform pieces are provided.
