PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service of Food and Beverage to guests in all F&B restaurant outlets, including catering and banquet bookings and other special events
  • Greet guests in a friendly manner, welcome them to the establishment and present them with food and beverage menus
  • Practice responsible alcohol service by checking patron’s identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages within the allotted liquor licensing rules
  • Inform guests about the daily specials and any changes in the menu
  • Make food and beverage suggestions based on thorough knowledgeable of the menu, ingredients of food items and how they are prepared
  • Take and relay orders into the POS in an efficient manner
  • Perform bartending duties as required, including but not limited to pouring and fulfilling alcohol orders
  • Maintain proper dining experience by serving food and beverages to guests as per the course of order; delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses as required
  • Performing ongoing quality checks with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
  • Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes
  • Accurately and reliably perform closing duties and reconcile cash with total sales
  • Assist with catering and/or banquets events hosted within any of Sun Peaks Resort food and beverage establishments under the direction of the Food and Beverage Manager and/or Director
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
  • Be knowledgeable about products and services available at the resort

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend all required SPRLLP orientation and training sessions
  • Review the morning meeting before beginning your shift
  • Fill in for absent staff as needed
  • Coach and assist new staff as needed.
  • Duties as required to ensure successful operation of the department including support of other departments and special promotions
