Sales Desk Agents are the first point of contact between the Ski & Board School and the customer. Duties include, but are not limited to, selling lesson tickets and packages, cash handling and balancing, using a computerized registration program for tracking guests, providing guests with resort information, and answering inquires in the Call Centre. The Sales Desk Agents rotate around three sales areas – Adult Desk, Kids Centre and Call Centre. Sales Desk Agents must be efficient, highly organized, and demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as quickly develop an in-depth knowledge of the resort, its products and our booking systems.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Taking reservations and upselling lesson and activity packages in the Call Centre, as well as responding to general inquiries
- Recalling reservations, selling lessons and registering guests at Adult and Kids Centre Sales Desks
- Liaising with manages and supervisors to ensure that customers are booked into the correct lessons, and that instructors are available
- Taking payments
- Being the ‘face’ of the Ski & Board School and the first point of contact for guests
- Developing a comprehensive knowledge of all in-house departments and products
- Being prepared to switch location at no notice depending on customer volume
- Having an awareness of program numbers, and communicate staffing needs to managers and supervisors when necessary
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of other departments and their products, as well as general resort knowledge
Position requirements/skills:
- Administration skills and experience using different booking systems
- Previous work in a call centre/telephone environment
- Background in customer service
- Professional typing and writing skills
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively during busy periods
Physical demands:
- Must be able to sit and stand for the duration of the shift
- Requires standing, sitting, repetitive motions, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity
