Objective: To represent Norquay as a helpful and friendly employee who is happy to provide excellent customer service to our guests, while simultaneously assisting in the daily operation of our tube park.
Reports to: Tube Park Supervisor, Operations Manager
Specific Expectations: The most important aspect of your position is to maintain excellent customer service, and help with any customer’s issues or questions that they may present to you. You are to maintain a wide knowledge of Mt. Norquay and the surrounding area in order for you to be as helpful as possible. You are to enjoy working outdoors, and should be capable of a semi- strenuous working environment.
Responsibilities (not limited to, but including):
- Arrive to work on time- punctuality is key
- Follow all occupational health and safety standards- your safety is our first priority
- Be available to work days, evenings and/or weekends
- Have strong communication skills in order to effectively work with coworkers and customers
- Possess the ability to think quickly in a fast-paced working environment
- Follow procedures in accordance with appearance and uniform standards
- Ensure customer satisfaction with efficient, friendly service
- Handle customer complaints in a professional manner, alerting your supervisor or manager if you need to do so
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
- Must be familiar with our conveyor style lift, the “Magic Carpet”: brakes, electrical systems, mechanical drives and emergency stops procedures
- Assist customers and employees in loading and unloading safely from the Magic Carpet
- Perform safety checks the Magic Carpet, and fill out safety log on a daily basis
- Be relatively physically fit and able to lift up to 50lb
- Work and stand outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Help with crowd control on weekends and holidays
- Have a thorough knowledge of Norquay and surrounding areas in order to accurately inform guests
- Set up and pack away tubes daily
- Shovel snow from decks, staircases and pathways
- Check each guests ticket and footwear
- Be involved in accident and incident reporting
Probationary Period: Each employee has a probationary period of three months, meaning that at any point during your period of employment with Mt. Norquay you can be terminated without cause and without compensation.
Notice: The Tube Park position runs from December through to April; you will be expected to commit to this entire term when accepting this position, unless otherwise agreed upon with Management. If any unforeseen circumstances arise, you are to give Mt. Norquay at least two weeks’ notice in order for us to hire and replace a new individual for your position.
