Tracking Your Application
Once your application is submitted, you can track its progress through the following methods:
- UKVI Online Tracker:
- Go to the UK Visas and Immigration Tracker.
- Use your GWF Number (found in your application confirmation email) to log in and view updates.
- VFS Global Updates:
- You will receive updates via email and SMS as your application progresses.
- Notifications include:
- Confirmation that your application is being processed.
- Updates on the status of your documents.
- Information when a decision has been made.
Dealing with Delays
While most applications are processed on time, delays can occasionally occur.
Here are some common reasons and ways to address them:
- Incomplete Application:
- Cause: Missing documents or errors in the application.
- Resolution: Contact UKVI or VFS Global immediately and provide the requested information.
- High Application Volume:
- Cause: Seasonal surges or unexpected backlogs.
- Resolution: Monitor updates and consider upgrading to Priority Service if processing is urgent.
- Additional Background Checks:
- Cause: Issues like discrepancies in travel history or previous visa refusals.
- Resolution: Respond promptly to any UKVI communication asking for further information.
- Unclear Bank Statements:
- Cause: Funds not clearly shown or inconsistent transactions.
- Resolution: Provide a stamped and signed statement from your bank.
