Scanning Host/ Resort Associate
*All Whistler Blackcomb Resort Associates work across multiple departments to ensure fulltime hours
(40 hours per week) and job variety. So, in addition to the responsibilities of this role, you can expect to
be trained and work not only in your department but in other departments as well. Candidates must be
willing to work 40 hours per week and be open to working in multiple areas.
What you’ll be up to:
- Greeting guests in a friendly manner, making eye contact when possible.
- Providing a high quality, friendly and cooperative relationship with guests and other mountain staff.
- Providing accurate information to our guests as it pertains to all aspects of Whistler Blackcomb mountain operations and Whistler Resort.
- Ensuring that guests and staff accessing Whistler Blackcomb lifts are in possession of a valid lift pass.
- Assisting guests with ticket/pass problems or concerns.
- Seek out accurate information for our guests when needed in order to answer their questions.
- Understanding the proper use of validation equipment and its functions, including RFID gates.
- Carrying out a daily preparation of your lift including set up and close down of maze gates and ski/snowboard racks.
- You may be required to assist other departments as needed.
- Always showing up on time, in uniform, and adhering to the grooming policy
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate our core values: safety first, striving to be the best, and showing that we care.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Must possess excellent employee and public relations skills and have a friendly and cooperative nature.
- Knowledge of Whistler Blackcomb Mountains an asset.
- Must be able to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment, while remaining calm under pressure.
- Strong ability to multi-task and problem solve.
- Proof of clear criminal record check.
