Job Summary:
Your position as the Whistler Kids Outdoor Ranger is to ensure that all Whistler Kids Zones are animated and fun in a safe environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Daily set up and management of terrain and adventure park areas, for all daily activities.
- Kid Zone take-down including banners, fencing, etc.
- Ensuring safety of all areas prior to daily operations
- Document Adventure Park daily check list and record incidents/accidents
- Report Park status to dispatch daily
- Report accidents and assist Patrol if required
- Responsible for equipment: mountain radio, fencing, shovels, etc.
- Clean and maintain all structures in Kid Zone
- We are a company that works together and throughout the season you may be required to assist in other departments as needed.
- Always show up on time, in uniform, and adhere to the grooming policy
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children is required (day camps, coaching, instructing).
- Intermediate to advanced skiing and/or riding skills as transport of equipment/fencing is done on skis/board.
- Friendly, outgoing, mature, and patient, with a keen sense of safety.
- Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time in all conditions.
- Physically fit – manual labor experience an asset.
- Proof of clear criminal record check (must be provided BEFORE you start work).
